About This Listing

Here’s a bass you don’t see everyday. Manufactured in Japan around the infamous “lawsuit” era, this Jazz-styled specimen sports plenty of dings, wear, and mojo from over the years which result in a unique “natural relic” finish. The brand is unknown since a prior owner stripped the original logo, but it’s likely from one of the now-popular Japanese ‘70s lawsuit guitar manufacturers.

In addition, the pickups work especially well for Royal Blood-type “guitar bass” work, so if you’re looking for a Mike Kerr-eque F-style solution without needing to mod an existing bass for new pickups, this should fit the bill great. Only (probably regretfully) selling since I’m mainly gigging with guitars these days and need to fund some electric gear.

Any questions, please feel free to reach out. Great opportunity to get a vintage MIJ J-bass without breaking the bank or having to order from Japan.
