About This Listing

The "little brother" to the famous EV RE-20 microphone, the RE-320 dynamic mic is perfect for capturing guitar or bass cabinets, bass drum, and even vocals.

The Electro-Voice RE-320: A Remake of a Marvel
The Electro-Voice RE-320 dynamic microphone is the reincarnation of EV's famed RE-20 broadcast mic. This dynamic companion will spruce up your recording sessions by bringing an iconic sound right to your studio. You can track drums, guitars, vocals, horns, bass, and other instruments utilizing a two-position "Dual Personality" frequency response switch to get the right frequency capture for the right instrument. This mic is built with a durable steel outer casing and will deliver clean and pristine audio capture, session after session.

Quiet as a Mouse
Tracking guitars or vocals can be a headache if you can't get a quiet capture. Your Electro-Voice RE-320 is built using an integrated humbucking coil to knock out any electromagnetic field interference coming from another source close to the microphone. Variable-D proximity control curtails off axis tonal shifts, and a neodymium magnet structure produces a faster transient response and a more detailed capture of those higher frequencies.

Split Personality: The Right EQ for the Right Instrument
A helpful feature right at the bottom of your EV RE-320 is a two-position "Dual Personality" frequency response switch for two different performance EQ curves. The general instrument use setting utilizes a 45 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response for recording vocals, guitar, bass, horns, viola, and a whole host of other instruments. The RE-320's kick drum setting kicks the frequency response down to 30 Hz for more low end capture.

Wide Reach of Applications
This dynamic microphone is great for the studio, but it also works well in other applications. Like its bigger brother, your Electro-Voice RE-320 is suitable for broadcast settings, recording choirs in churches, voiceover sessions, sporting events, and more. Every recording engineer needs a solid arsenal of dynamic microphones, and the RE-320 will keep your recording sessions clean and pristine.

Product Overview
With the RE320, Electro-Voice takes an already-standard bass drum microphone and beefs up the bottom-end with a switchable kick drum EQ. The rugged build, balanced tone, and high SPL handling of the regular RE20 remains in tact, but the equalization curves built into the microphone make it that much easier to get powerful kick drum sounds without the need for external processing.
