This is a Dumble "Ultra Phonix" modded 1965 Fender Bandmaster Head.
It was modded and tweaked to perfection by the legendary amp guru... Howard Alexander Dumble. He performed his "Ultra Phonix" Mod on it.
I am the second owner. I bought it from a friend over 15 years ago. He had it modded by Mr. Dumble. The amp is exactly as it was when Howard finished the Ultra Phonix mod.
It's nothing short of magic.
Dumble's extensive knowledge and intuitive sense make him the world's pre-eminent amp builder. He has built amps for: Eric Clapton, Robben Ford, John Mayer, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Keith Urban, Ry Cooder, Eric Johnson and Michael Landau.
There are no other amp builders with his reputation. Mr.Dumble's amps have sold for as much as $140,000.00.
There is no one cookie-cutter "Ultra Phonix" mod. Every Dumble amp is uniquely voiced by the master, himself.
There are many amp clones and pedals that claim to imitate the Dumble sound. But the truth is, that nothing sounds like a real Dumble amp. This amp is the real deal !!
The wiring, as seen in the pictures, is a thing of beauty. The condition of the "head box" is a 9 out of 10. There are a few small wear marks in the tolex, but that's to be expected as the amp has been around for over 50 years.
**NOTE** We have a matching 1964 Fender Bassman 2x12 Cab we can include for $500 more. It is being sold in a separate listing here on eBay. Although we are willing to ship this head anywhere domestically, the cabinet is only available for local pick up.
