Greetings,
Selling or possible trade is my Mint (As close as mint can be, perhaps extremely hard to see superficial swirls in pickguards?) condition 2000 James Goodall RS Standard. This instrument is 22 years old and appears virtually new and un-played, as if it was in a time capsule. The guitar has less than 8 hours of playtime, so there’s no fret or fret board wear.
The case is a custom handmade in the USA by Cedar Creek Cases. The case feels so new even the clasps are all still tight! Beautiful inside and out.
About The Guitar: The Standard series, with its graceful curving lines, is a larger-bodied guitar with a clarity that is uncanny! The amazingly rich, powerful bass and midrange is matched to a brilliant treble and shimmering harmonic overtones. Arguably the most balanced guitar available from Goodall Guitars, James feels that the Standard model is the crowning achievement of his luthier career. With approximately the same proportions as the ever-popular dreadnought shape, the resemblance stops with the size. More than one musician has commented "this guitar makes others sound like they are stuffed full of cotton."
If you search Goodall guitars, look for reviews, watch some videos, and look at availability, you’ll discover they’re coveted by builders and collectors alike for their tone and craftsmanship. Since mine is 22 years old it was made in Hawaii by James. I can’t say enough about the tone, action, and playability, a big WoW! The neck finish is smoother than any other guitar I've owned, and that's quite a list.
This guitar is constructed from: (The woods are written on a label and adhered to the heel block. This is done on all Goodall guitars). Solid Indian Rosewood Solid Sitka Spruce – AAA or better Solid Mahogany Solid Ebony (Fretboard) Figured Koa (Bindings) Neck Width = 1-3/4" at Nut Complete body size specs available on-line. Has 2 clear pickguards, both bass and treble sides. The bass side is small, very tasteful, both are nearly invisible. If you know Goodall guitars you know what this jewel is. If you’re in the market for a high-end dreadnought then this one is near the pinnacle. $4800.00 – Offers considered, low ball offers will be ignored. Shipping, if required can be discussed upon agreement of sale or trade.
Trade – Guitar of equal value only, don’t want to haggle over value and adding money, etc. If you feel your guitar is worth between 5 and 6 thousand then we can see what happens. It must be acoustic, or acoustic electric, we must video chat and show each other our guitars live, and ask questions. I’m ideally looking for a smaller body guitar, GA,CM sizes and smaller are acceptable. Fond of high end Taylors, BTO Taylors, Goodall smaller body, Huss and Dalton, Collings, etc. (PS - I do own a Taylor 914ce), so really looking for a GA, CM, 12 Series size Taylor equal to or above the 900 series, Custom Shop, Etc.  Any 000 or 00 size guitars as well. This is a world-class dreadnought that is truly a joy to behold. Thanks So Much!
