B.C. Rich Early Mockingbird Bass 1976

Originally was found in pretty bad shape, restored back to full playable condition while maintaining all the storied characteristics of its near half-century history.  Currently setup with Thomastik flats and tuned to B standard.  

A true treasure of a bass is one of the first that introduced what became such a coveted and distinct style.  Koa and maple construction is made from 2 pretty outer body halves around a very beautiful  figured 1 piece Koa neck-thru body.  It's ebony fingerboard has some first issue fancy pearl inlays, as well as an inlaid “R” on its headstock. Original  Leo Quan Badass bridge.  This is one of the very earliest Mockingbird basses made & bears no serial number.

Electronics: Original set of “Hi-A” early Bartolini pickups.  Has a replacement Bartolini AGB/918-2 Preamp and restored varitone.  Also has replacement switches, toggles, and output jack.

It does have some major wear and play time but has great character and is featherweight, one of the coolest original and unique B.C.
