The Alvarez MU55 Masterworks Ukes are made from Bamboo, all solid Bamboo, and a wood that grows quickly in abundance and is in no danger of depleting.
As instrument makers and players, Alvarez try to source alternative woods and materials that are kinder to the world’s ecosystem but do not compromise on quality or tonal attributes. The MU55s meet these requirements beautifully. Solid Bamboo as a tone wood sounds fantastic for a Ukulele, it’s also very affordable, which allows them to deliver an all solid, stellar sounding professional Ukulele at such value. The MU55’s sustain and tone will put a smile on your face and by knowing that it’s a better choice for our planet, will hopefully sweeten the sound even more.
This model is fitted with the Alvarez AUE20 Pickup and EQ.
All Alvarez Ukes are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid “slotted” bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.
Other appointments and features include quality-seasoned tonewoods, real bone nut and saddle, mahogany neck and premium tuners. Case sold separately.
Condition:
The guitar had a minor top crack repair by an Authorized Licensed Technician. It does not affect the guitars play-ability or structural integrity in any way. (see pics) Otherwise, The authorized technicians found no other issues and it has little to no play wear. It looks, plays and sounds great!

We are an authorized dealer for brand approved manufacturer refurbished guitars and musical instruments. These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer or distributor to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected, set up and cleared by a certified technician. The guitars are sent there for many reasons, including: cosmetic flaws, minor repairs, surplus & discontinued or last years models. The guitars are given a new serial number and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" or "2nd" by the authorized refurbishing center. These guitars are the next best thing to buying new!
