The Gibson ES-339 Semi Acoustica Traditional Pro, Sunburst Vintage was crafted in the USA and built to design specifications very similar to a standard Gibson ES-339. However, there are a few distinct differences that set the traditional Gibson ES-339 Pro apart from its original model.
First, the traditional Gibson ES-339 Pro features a slim line, hollow maple body with a central block, also maple, with a figured maple top without the traditional 'f hole', 'F' shaped holes. found on most other Gibson ES models. This helps give your guitar an extremely unique tone that aims to bridge the gap between semi-acoustic tones and Gibson solid body models like the Les Paul and SG. The slim profile neck, 30/60 slender '59, is constructed with mahogany, and the rosewood fingerboard features 22 medium jumbo frets.
the ES-339 Traditional has a Gibson '57 Classic Humbucker pickup in the neck position and a Gibson '57' Super Humbucker in the bridge position that really leaves the guitar with a huge range of impressive vintage tones. The coil-split function can be applied via the simple push/push feature on the two volume pots, and converts the two humbuckers into single-coil pickups for a huge range of tones for rock, blues, jazz and more.
One of the tone pots activates by push/push system, an active booster of 10 dB, with adjustable gain and fully bypass if off. This gives an extra boost, crucial when playing solos or dynamic highlights. To top it off, the three-way pickup selector lets you select the classic Gibson combination: bridge, bridge and neck, neck.
The Gibson ES-339 Pro Traditional is also equipped with a Tune-O-Matic ABR bridge, with Stop-Bar and Grover locking tuners. The guitar is built using nickel hardware and is finished in a gorgeous vintage sunburst.
Genuine Gibson case and certificates come with the guitar.
This ES-339 was only made in 2013, in a limited run by Gibson Memphis, specializing in semi-acoustics and custom shop models.
