This is an 1932 OM-28.  Serial #51975

From what evidence I have found only 55 OM were made in 1932.

It is in very nice condition considering it's age.  There are cracks that have been repaired by Martin and prior to the work that was done by the folks at Nazareth.

Martin replaced the bridge and pickguard as well as the bridge plate internally. They also did a neck reset and installed new "Bar" frets.

The cracks on the top and the sides were done a long time ago and are stable.  They were repaired properly.  However, we have no information about who or when that work was done.  We have some suspicion that it may have had a light over spray at some time, yet under a black light it all glows as it should for the finish to be original.  Under the black light, you can see the neck reset and other signs of repairs.

The instrument has been meticulously cleaned up and is in great playing condition.

It has a big chunky early 30 style neck profile.  It sounds every bit as amazing as one would expect from a truly legendary instrument,

*Edit 6/2022.
It has been brought to attention, correctly, that the lack  of a volute is evidence that this instrument has been 're necked' (i.e. it has a non original neck). We agree with that assessment.
Unfortunately,  we have no information as to when this would have occurred in the life of the guitar. We suspect a while ago.

The condition is listed as good even with the new knowledge because it really is a nice instrument.  It plays and sounds great.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

It is a "Local Pick Up" only item.

It comes with a modern Martin Custom Case.
