About This Listing

2010 G&L Tribute Rampage with original gig bag.

MIC model with black nickel hardware. 13 3/4" radius on an ebony fretboard, with a 1 3/4" nut width. Kahler vibrato with Floyd Rose style nut. Maple neck with some figuring and a matte finish. Maple body in gloss black with matching headstock.

Condition is VG to VG+. Neck is straight and frets have practically no wear. Body has scratches front and back, but nothing major. Hardware has some plating wear. One factory paint flaw on the back, a slightly sunken area about the size of a nickel (I photographed it as well as I could, and circled it in red). Treble side of fretboard has a minor dent (pictured, circled in red). Original vibrato arm is missing, but it’s a cheap replacement part available from Whammi World or any other Kahler dealer. Frets will be polished and fresh strings installed before shipping. As you can see, there is some dust under the strings, but I will remove that when I put new strings on.

Includes original warranty paperwork, hang tag, and Allen wrenches, in original Zip-Loc bag, all in the original G&L gig bag. The bag was included with Tribute Series instruments till summer of 2012. But they are usually pilfered by those who are selling Tributes that came with them, which is a real shame.

This thing is not dead perfect, but it is straight, original, includes the original bag, and it was adult owned by a serious G&L lover/collector. It was never beat on, or modified with stickers, or any other such stuff that kids tend to do with their guitars. It was played conservatively, kept bone stock, and properly maintained. It’s rare to find one that hasn’t been screwed with or had the gig bag removed. It plays fantastically, and sounds wonderful. I actually like this guitar better than any of the U.S. versions that I have tried. The fretwork is better, and the pickup is less muddy. But it’s worth a lot of money now, so I’m going to let it go.

I know this is a lot of money, but the fact of the matter is that I have a standing $1,500 cash offer for this guitar. But I am putting it up here for a while before giving him a final answer. Reverb and the IRS will ding me for quite a lot on this, so I am asking a bit higher here on Reverb. You are always welcome to make an offer, or check it out in person in Los Angeles.
