Custom Fender USA Stratocaster Fiesta Red Nitro Heavy Relic by MJT Eric Johnson Pups

This is the next in our relic line of guitars to feature a USA made and relic'd body by MJT. Here's a nice heavy relic, all American Strat with genuine Fender components weighing in at 7.4 lbs.

The body is from MJT Aged Finishes and is a modified (contoured heel) 50s spec made of Alder with a crosschecked and faded Fiesta Red heavy relic aged nitro finish. Mark Jenny does some of the most authentic relic finishes we've seen right down to the minor details like yellowing and cross checking of the lacquer. These subtle characteristics are difficult to photograph at times but really set his work apart from so many others. We are happy to use these high quality American made bodies for our relic builds and look forward to future offerings. It is fitted with aged Fender hardware and vintage big block tremolo.

The pickguard assembly is built on a 1 ply 8 hole White 50s style relic'd pickguard. The pickups are new genuine Fender Custom Shop Eric Johnson with Fender Aged White covers, knobs and tips. The pots are CTS 250K with a .047uf tone capacitor and a CRL 5 way switch with Switchcraft jack. This is wired according to the Eric Johnson wiring diagram so the upper Tone knob provides tone control for the neck pickup while the lower Tone knob provides tone control for the bridge pickup.

The neck is a 2011 American Deluxe Stratocaster neck in excellent condition. These necks are unique in their specs compared to other American Fender necks. This neck features 1 piece Maple construction with a 9.5"-14" compound radius fretboard with Black Abalone dot inlays, 22 med/jumbo frets, 1.685" bone nut, soft V rear profile and a vintage tint Satin Urethane finish with raised chrome headstock logo. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished and the neck is fitted with its original stock Fender locking tuners and string tree.

The guitar is strung with a set of D'Addario XL 10-46 gauge strings with the tremolo setup traditional floating. It includes the new Gator Cases gigbag shown and will ship UPS ground with signature required for delivery.
