Beautiful rare Fender Jazz bass from the late Fullerton Dan Smith era.

You are looking at a possible Masterbuild, from before the Fender Custom shop had started. It is stamped by G.Garcia and Lopez. These high qualified Fender builders were known for their excellent work. It is said that Garcia was the only one who was allowed to work on the artist formally known as Prince his guitars.

This bass is in top notch condition. Has limited to no fretwear. There is just a small dent on the body located below the bridge. It comes with a period correct Fender original molded hardcase with red lining.

The sticker on the back of the neck contributes to the myth around the E+5 digits serial number. Servaas Den Haag was one of the major Fender dealers in Europe in the early 80s. If you are not familiar with the story, just Google and find the Sienna Sunburst is the holy grail.
