(Original price 450,- – STUPID SALE!)
People on the internet have all the answers:
1) The VSS-200 is slightly larger and takes C (six!) batteries instead of AA batteries. External power supplies are available for both.
2) You can adjust the pitch and volume level of a sample with the VSS-200. The VSS-30 does NOT have either feature.
3) The VSS-30 has vibrato. The VSS-200 does not. Both keyboards have AM (Amplitude Modulation), which sounds like vibrato, which is might be why they removed the effect for the VSS-200. This is the only effect that the VSS-30 has that the VSS-200 does not have.
4) Both keyboards have all other additional adjustable effects (with the plus and minus keys) in common for the sampler, except for those listed above.
5) The two keyboards sound exactly the same when sampling, especially when 'sampling in' through the RCA input.
6) Unlike the Casio SK-5, the VSS-30 & VSS-200 do NOT retain the sample when powered off.
7) The VSS-200 has a display that shows parameter changes when adjusting sounds and effects. The VSS-30 does not, but parameters are adjustable.
8) The VSS-200 has 99 default sounds that can be altered with the sampler's effects. The VSS-30 has fewer sounds and these cannot be channeled through the sampler effects.
Will be shipped registered and insured. This is an incredibily fun keyboard, in TOP condition (it says so on the box (which itself is not in top condition – this confuses me.))
