Vintage Grundig Majestic tube radio Model 3160
from 1960. This radio is in great shape and has obviously been stored in a climate-controlled environment. It has a little wear on the outside including a few very minor scratches, but the inside is clean and not corroded. It has USA-based AM and FM bands and thus sold in the USA by Grundig. Works well, and sounds great. The FM MPX is great on this unit - also the tone controls are very cool/versatile...the performance of these vintage sets is downright scary good sometimes! Please see the YouTube Video. This radio has various tone controls located on the keyboard. On the back are inputs for a phonograph or tape, and also one for an external speaker and an external antenna. Great example of Mid-Century Modern style and quality. This radio has the following bands:
- FM (88-108 MHz)
- SW (Short Wave, 5.9-16 MHz)
- BC, (AM "Standard Broadcast Band", kHz)
- LW (Long Wave, 145-350 kHz)
