1970's Cameo Deluxe Violin Bass With OHSC Luthier Project
Weight: 7lb, 13oz
This Cameo Deluxe is a great looking vintage bass. The body is chambered and the F-holes are not cut out. It is in really good cosmetic shape with minimal wear, but it does have some issues listed below. This is a nice and fairly straight forward project.

This Cameo Deluxe is a great looking vintage bass. The body is chambered and the F-holes are not cut out. It is in really good cosmetic shape with minimal wear, but it does have some issues listed below. This is a nice and fairly straight forward project.
- There is excessive upbow in the neck (1/32" relief at 7th fret) that affects playability. The truss rod is tightened all the way and it frets out and buzzes when played past the 12th fret.
- The electronics are original and fully functional and the frets are in nice shape.
- The original neck screws were heavily oxidized and all broke when trying to unscrew the neck. They have been drilled out and the neck has been patched with dowels and new screws were installed.
- One truss rod cover screw broke while removing it and the end is still in the headstock.
