For sale is my 1954 Gretsch Synchromatic 6014-5 guitar. The guitar is in excellent playing condition, with low action and a great tone. I had a 60's Teisco pickup mounted to the guitar on a custom made floating bracket that is pinned to the end of the fret board. I also had a replacement pick guard made to hold volume and tone controls for the pickup, and an end-pin jack installed. This pickup made the guitar infinitely more useful to me, but the guitar can be put back to normal with minimal evidence of the changes. The body was not routed at all to accommodate the new pickup or guard. The original end pin and guard are also included with the guitar.
It appears that the original bridge is gone, but a good quality wooden replacement has been well-fitted to the guitar's top. Otherwise everything else not mentioned appears to be original. I currently have somewhat heavy DR Zebra strings on it for a nice acoustic tone that still works with the magnetic pickup.
I don't have a case for the guitar, but it will be well packed for shipping and double boxed.
