Getzen Custom Model PowerBore 90PB 1957-58 Lacquer

Rare vintage Getzen Custom Model PowerBore 90PB, circa 1957-58, in great condition. This is truly a rare horn -- search online and see. I've enjoyed playing it, and it's really something special! But I've made the decision to sell it and make room for a modern horn.

Many Getzens of this era had fragile bells and show obvious bell trauma -- either major dents, or you can see the lines where dents were rolled out. This one looks to have been very well cared-for. It appears to have all the original parts including the 3rd-slide retaining pin/nuts, lyre, mouthpiece (the only item that's pretty beat up), and original case in terrific condition. It's just beautiful with its deco motifs, big 3rd-slide water key and characteristic "kranz" around the bell. See pictures.
Definitely a player! Valves work great, compression is good. The 3rd slide is a little temperamental. The 90PB is the large bore model, but doesn't feel big to me at all, compared to the modern large-bores I've played.

It's safest to ship the horn separate from the case; shipping costs will reflect that plan.
