Matching Quartet of Vintage 1974 Eminence 12" Square Back Amplifier Speakers - Made in USA!

We've got a matching quartet of Made in USA Eminence square back amplifier speakers produced in the 23rd week of 1974.  Jerry McNutt at Eminence wrote me:

We made those back in 1974 in our plant here in Kentucky. It is a musical Instrument driver, likely lead guitar. It has a ferrite (ceramic) magnet.   Looks like a 2” coil.  It should be good for 50-75 watts. I would keep it around 50 just to be safe.

These measure 12" in diameter with the magnet measuring 5" across and 5/8" thick. Each speaker measured between 15 and 16.2 Ohms resistance on my multimeter, suggesting an impedance of roughly 22 or so. Two of the speakers have a small dent in the dust dome.

  • Note: The cone on this one has more of a tan color and the dome is smaller.  Also, small tear in cone; I can't hear that it's impacting the sound quality.

Although two of the speakers need some real TLC, we're offering them as a quartet since this provides a golden opportunity for someone to load a 4x12 cabinet with a matched vintage set. If you are choosing local pick-up, we've also got a cabinet for sale that these can go into.
