Sweet Baby James!
The original owner ordered this gorgeous Olson guitar back in 2009 and received it in April of 2010.
It is the SJ model, #1309.
This is not your standard SJ and is loaded with custom selections. Truly ONE OF A KIND.
Solid red cedar top with really dark straight grained solid Indian rosewood back and sides. The binding is koa and the dove inlays are koa wrapped in mother of pearl.
The back of the head stock is covered in Brazilian rosewood with an inlay and the front of the headstock is Brazilian rosewood.
The sound hole ring is end grain Brazilian and koa.
It has gold tuning machines and an L.R. Baggs pickup.
Neck width at nut = 1 11/16".
This is a fingerstyle player's dream machine. We have personally never heard anything sweeter for this style of playing. It's no wonder why James Taylor plays Olsons.
This has been stored in a climate-controlled studio as part of a private collection and rarely played. It does have very minor scuff marks by the sound hole from fingernails as seen in one of the photos.
Includes TKL American Vintage Series hardshell case. Latch sticks and needs to be pulled with finger to open.
