2008 D'Aquisto Jazz Line (DQ-JZ) -- Japanese reproduction (manufactured by Aria) of Jim Hall's original D'Aquisto. It is in excellent condition with very little-to-no wear. There are some minor surface scratches on the guitar but they are only visible when looking extremely closely under light. It has been professionally set up; the neck is straight, action is low, frets filed and crowned, and a new bone nut has been cut (1 11/16" width).
The stock humbucker was replaced with a Gibson Classic '57 and it is a vast improvement. The original pickup is included, as well as the OHSC; will also throw in a few sets of of D'Addario Chromes (ECG-24) strings as a bonus.
The setup on this one is really exquisite with very low action--it plays like butter!
As you may know this is very similar to the Sadowsky Jim Hall model (which sells for twice the price) and is made in the same factory. I have owned a Sadowsky Jim Hall and in my opinion this guitar is equal to the Sadowsky in every way (including craftsmanship and playability), except that the D'Aquisto sounds better amplified Here are the specs from Aria's website:
