**UPDATED** Our orchestral timpanist/repair tech just installed a new set of heads and completely serviced the timpani (5/27/17). They are ready to play!!
We have a set of 4 professionally refurbished Rogers Accu-Sonic Timpani in great condition. The timpani all have "extended collar" rims which became popular post 1978. The pedals, loops and bowls are very nice. All of the decorative legs and castors are brand new. The frames are very strong and solid. Finish and hardware in very condition. The heads are brand new, installed May 27th.
Rogers manufactured this model from around 1970 to 1983, so this set has a "collector" value as well being very functional. The "extended collar" feature dates post 1978 so our feeling is these were manufactured toward the end of the production cycle.
The Accu-Sonic timpani where known for a larger than normal one octave range, thus this set will allow for a sizable pitch range.
This set would be ideal for a church orchestra or a school instrumental group on a budget.
