We here at Subway guitars are tickled to offer a guitar currently owned by guitar legend Taj Mahal, and it's a real peach!
A 1965 Stratocaster owned by the Maestro for many years and played on his 1987 album "Taj". This package includes an original vinyl copy signed by Taj Mahal. He even notes which tracks feature the guitar!

Like many guitars owned by working musicians, this guitar has been heavily modified for professional use.
Original parts:

Neck (original finish) Dated 2 Oct 1965
Double row Kluson Tuners
Frets (freshly dressed)
Body wood (refinished)
Jack & plate
Neck plate (L Series) L65878
Tremolo claw, screws, and 3 springs

Replaced parts:
Lindy Fralin hand-wound 'Woodstock '69' pickups special-ordered to '65 specs with non-beveled magnetic pole peices, cloth leads and sends, and Reverse-Wound Middle pickup.
Fender Custom Shop '65 bridge, tremolo block, and arm
New Chandler pickguard, custom cut to original holes
CTS Pots
Orange Drop capacitors

The guitar has been refinished to a nice see-through blonde tint. It is not glossy, but rather more of a matte or open-pore finish.
The set-up is perfectly dialed in with a delicious medium-low action.
Vintage Strat fans will love the hand-hugging neck which has been broken in by the Maestro. It feels like your favorite baseball glove.
It sounds great even unplugged.
Weighs in at a comfortable 7.9 pounds.
A remarkable instrument. You won't be disappointed.
Comes with Non-original hard case.
