Thunderbird in set-neck constructionLike its role model from the late sixties, the non-reverse Thunderbird Ebony also comes in a classic set-neck design with a long 34" scale length (864 mm), which promises a powerful sound with a long Sustain. For the glued neck and body, Gibson uses mahogany, while the 22-fret fretboard is made of rosewood. The "rounded" profile, which is not too thick, also promises the best playing characteristics for comfortable grooving. Rich sound with Thunderbird pickupsOn the bass amplifier, the Thunderbird with two Soapbar pickups provides characterful sounds with a pleasant vintage note and unrestricted suitability for the classic styles of blues, rock and R'n'B.
