This guy has fast become one of my favorite Japanese Luthier‘s, right up there with Kohno! This guitar came to me with a twist in the neck so I handed it over to my good friend master Luthier Charles Dick. He made a solid mahogany shim and a new fingerboard complete with new Frets and a new nut in order to bring it back to perfect playing condition. It plays and sounds like a dream now, and won’t need any structural work for another half century at least. You really can barely see the repair even when you were looking for it, Charles is a freaking genius! The guitar is all solid wood and has that special sound that you only get from a master built instrument that has aged for over half a century

The guitar has a lot of fine scratches throughout seee pictures. Sounds incredible! The top is solid spruce, back appears to be solid Brazilian but could also be an unusually nice piece of Indian, in this time period BR was still available. Charles and I both thought it was likely BR but it’s hard to say 100%. There are a couple of repaired cracks in the back of the guitar.

Plays and sounds excellent!
