Extremely Rare 1970-1971 Ludwig Mach Lug Drum Set. Custom ordered Bronze Silk finish by the original owner and includes original Black Naugahyde cases.
Rare sizes. 28x14 bass drum- I know your mind does not comprehend the possibility of Ludwig making an original 70's 3-ply 28" bass drum so I included a Ludwig catalog listing showing the optional 28" bass drum.
Toms- 14x10 and 15x12
Floor Toms- 16x16 and 18x16
Condition. Bronze Silk Finish is original and in good condition with some splotchyness that is typical with the silk finishes.
Chrome hardware and hoops are very nice with very little pitting.
3-ply maple shells are in round with nice bearing edges. Clear maple interiors are widely considered to be the best era shells Ludwig has ever made.
All parts are original and correct to the set. Not shown but included are three mufflers that have been removed for recording purposes.
Modifications: Only modification to the set is some extra holes from installing a 70's Ludwig Rail mount set up. The holes could easily be patched.
The combination of Bronze Silk finish, Mach lugs and a 28" bass drum make this set very collectible and extremely rare. This is truly a once in a lifetime find.
