Description and Product Information:

This guitar is one of Samick’s All-Solid-Wood series guitars. Most of us know that the world’s best guitars are all made from solid wood. Solid woods respond more efficiently to string energy and produce a higher standard of performance. Solid wood creates faster and stronger volume and projection, powerful bass and complex, sparkling harmonics – more simply put – a richer, more interesting sound.

The refurbish center found nothing wrong with this guitar. Nothing, in this instance, has been repaired, replaced or changed in any way. Here’s more information:

Should you purchase a refurbished guitar? It is, of course, your decision but we would ask that you think of this: A refurbished guitar is really just a guitar that cannot be sold as new. It does not mean there is something wrong with the guitar. A new guitar that is purchased and then returned cannot be sold as new again. A guitar that has been displayed at a trade show cannot be sold as new. And so on.

By the time I get a refurbished instrument, it has been inspected at least three times and repairs, if needed, have been made by certified repairmen. I inspect and test it again to make sure that pickups and controls function properly, the neck is straight and that the truss rod is properly functioning. Instruments that do have repairs will have a photo that shows the repair and our comment. These will have been played and usually sell at significant discount. They are great deals.

Gibson/Epiphone requires their items be designated as Seller Refurbished. Don’t let it concern you; the guitars receive the same careful attention as those marked Manufacturer Refurbished.

Again, I will provide a photo and comment. I do not purchase guitars with other than the highest rating. All of our refurbished guitars have a small “used” or small “s” stamp on the back of the headstock and have a new serial number. This prevents duplicate dealer claims and protects the dealer, the manufacturer and the final purchaser.

Note that we will ship guitars tuned down by several steps to relieve the stress on the neck. Also extremes in temperature may cause finish checking in some guitar finishes. If weather conditions vary wildly between your location and ours, checking may occur. We are not responsible for weather related finish checking on any instrument.

Please note that new CITES treaty prohibits the export off most “Rosewood” type woods, including all species (almost 300) of Rosewood under the genus Dalbergia and 3 species of Bubinga. Also included is Kosso (African Rosewood), Cocobolo and African Blackwood. The cost of the export certificate is excessive; consequently, we will no longer ship any item containing any of these woods outside of the U. S.
