Overview

The first Gibson SJ-200 "Super Jumbo" guitars are among the most desirable and pricey Kalamazoo acoustics, with the rosewood back and sides seen only during this time period offering a much warmer and more balanced sound than the later maple models. The fretboards on from 1938 - 1940 are ebony, while the 1941 - 1943 guitars have a rosewood board. This model was not produced for a few years after this run, returning in 1947 with different specifications.
