A beautiful example of Guild's first adventure into the slim-line, acoustic/electric line of guitars.  1983 was the first year Guild made the FS-46CE-NT.  This rare 'Crossroads Series' was only made from 1983 until 1986, and in limited numbers.

This guitar has a sitka spruce top with an oval sound hole with multi-ring trim.  The body is of solid mahogany with multi-layer binding.  The neck is mahogany with nicely aged cream binding and black side dots.  The headstock features mother of pearl 'GUILD" and Chesterfield inlays.  The original Grover machine heads have been upgraded to very stylish Sperzels that compliment the headstock very well.  Fingerboard is rosewood with mother of pearl dot inlays.  The 24 frets display minimal fret wear (even the first three frets), and have plenty of play life remaining.

Structurally and cosmetically, the guitar is in excellent shape,  At close inspection, the top does show some minor "pick scarring", but finish is not broken and there is no buckle rash.

The original LFT EQ01 circuit board was failing and the previous owner made some much needed and improved modifications to the circuit.  The result is now a  doubling of the supply voltage from 3v to 6v, a very full frequency range with great bass and high end response, improved head gain, along with low noise and high output.  An additional improvement over the original is a discreet 'on-off' switch installed into the back cover to preserve battery life.

The original "Guild' hard shell case is included and in good functional condition.

Sought after by collectors, this FS-46CE NT is not only a great and unique guitar, but a very sound investment piece.
