The X5 Keyboard ships with a total of 340 multi-sounds and 164 drum sounds residing within the instrument's six megabytes of ROM memory. You get all of your basic food groups: pianos, strings, brass, winds, guitars and basses plus assorted drums and percussion, all sampled and looped with meticulous attention to detail by Korg's crack team of sound designers. Also packed into this powerhouse are 47 different pro quality effects ranging from lush reverb to rotary speaker. Add a rich assortment of 236 programs and 100 Combinations (including 128 standard General MIDI programs) and you're set for just about any musical venture you might possibly imagine. You can even store another 100 programs and 100 combinations of your own in the X5's RAM memory. The X5 weighs in at a mere ten pounds, making it the lightest, most compact keyboard Korg has ever released. You get 61 full sized velocity sensitive keys, modulation and pitch bend wheels, 32-note polyphony and full MIDI implementation. With its built-in computer interface and 16-part multi-timbral capability, the X5 is a great choice for music/computer applications.
