The Seymour Duncan Antiquity 1950 Fender Lap Steel pickup is a hand crafted, authentic aged pickup for lap steel and Telecaster bridge. These pickups were often pulled out of lap steels and converted into Tele lead pickups so they could get back to the old flat pole look and sound of the '53 Tele. The pickups have a rectangular vulcanized bottom plate and are mounted into the body of the instrument using two wood screws.
The Antiquity 1950 Fender Lap Steel pickup is hand-aged using Seymour Duncan's proprietary Antiquity aging process. Each bobbin is fabricated and specially hand-wound using vintage techniques. The bobbins are protected by waxed string for added coil protection. Hookup wire is the classic "push back" cloth braid wire.
