Up for sale is a Cat Eye Jim modified Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube screamer. There's three key mods done to this pedal: First, the output section is modified to TS808 specs. Second, the IC opamp is changed to a genuine JRC4558D chip, installed with a socket in case you want to try different opamps. Last, the clipping circuit is modified for asymmetrical clipping.
The result is a super-clear, smooth overdrive with absolutely gooey, liquid sustain. It performs great with both humbuckers and single coils, and it does absolutely sing on a Strat. The pedal just sounds fantastic.
It's in great shape for its age, having lived on my pedalboard for years, and was my go-to pedal for a crunchy rhythm sound and paired with another TS9 it was my solo sound. It has velcro on the back but that can be removed. It has very few nicks and scratches because it was on all the time, and I rarely stepped on it!
