This guitar suffered a minor ding in shipping but is no worse for wear (see photos of small ding on upper bout). It is a strong player and looker, Golden Rose Sparkle nitrocellulose finish with matching headstock, blender wiring and weighing a comfortable 7.5 lbs. Quality components and finish used throughout.

Body- High quality N. American alder by legendary Boogie Bodies (EVH).  Precision CNC 50's style routing with deep belly cut. See last pic with Boogie Bodies stamp in neck pocket.

Neck- Quarter sawn Canadian Red Maple with Indian Rosewood fretboard. Modern C shape with med jumbo frets, Rosewood skunk stripe and 1 5/8" bone nut. Fretboard edges rolled and all fret edges filed and polished.

Finish- Body is finished in 100% nitrocellulose lacquer. I started with spraying a thin Shell Pink washcoat using Sherwin Williams' Sher-Wood white tinted gloss nitro as a base coat.  The Shell Pink was mixed using only high quality German tints. Two additional light undercoats of Shell Pink were sprayed via HVLP to help the Golden Rose Sparkle base coats pop. The Golden Rose Sparkle was mixed using Defts' satin nitro blended with USA made micas and metallic flakes. Finally, several satin clear coats were sprayed and machine polished to a fine lustre.

The neck was sprayed with an amber tinted nitrocellulose lacquer. The headstock face was sprayed with the Golden Rose Sparkle, and then clear coated with a satin nitro.

Pickups are hand made by Bootstrap in Mt Gilead, OH. This is their Sun City set, which are slightly overwound and said to be similar to Texas Specials. Guitar is wired with a master volume and tone. The second tone control (with smoked chrome knurled tele knob) is wired as a blender, when turned all the way up, you get standard Fender 5 way switching. The blender allows you to blend in the neck pickup in position 1 giving you a neck / bridge combo similar to what a tele allows in middle position. In position 2, the blender allows you to blend in the neck pickup giving you all three pickups at once for a total of seven tones. Quality components used in wiring this assembly include a CTS 250K no load pot for the blender pot, an Oak Grigsby 5 way switch, a MOD Electronics paper in oil filled .022 uf capacitor with aluminum housing, and a  Kinman style treble bleed cap/resistor volume mod preserves treble frequencies when vol is cut.

Bridge is a Gotoh big block tremolo with heavy duty saddles, 2 1/8" string spacing, and is setup like it should be, floating about 1/8" off the body. This tremolo is setup such that light and subtle hand pressure can be used to produce some slick steel tremolo style licks. Tuners are vintage Kluson style six in line with split shaft "locking" type mechanism.

Please feel free to ask any questions and see my other listing for the sister /  matching tele to this guitar.
