About This Listing

Up for sale is a Fender Twin Reverb Amp. It is sold "As-is" for Local pickup only.
Please read the complete description, as I have tried to document any issue/imperfection on the amp.

I am selling it as I no longer have room to store it, nor do I have any venue I play at that needs an amp of this volume. It has been in storage for a few years due to this fact. This amp has unbelievable tone, and deserves to be played often!

About this Amp:
Based on the Serial number, it looks to originally have been a '73. (#A 42305)
I had this amp rewired/modded in 2009.
The lead channel has a "black face" mod to make it sound more like the '60s version of the Fender Twin.
This modification does eliminate the "Master Volume" knob on the ampface.

It has the original chassis, tolex, grill cloth, spring reverb, and amp legs.
It also comes with a newer, unused footswitch still in its box; newer amp cover; and it has been fitted with casters to make moving it around a little easier.

It has brand new matched power tubes. The amp turns on, and works pretty well. However.....
NOTE: There are some snap, crackles, and pops when turning on at this time. Shouldn't be anything major, but I have not taken the time to have it looked at recently. The amp sat for a few years in storage before I recently brought it back out to test it. (everything else works as it should -volume, tone, bright switches, reverb, vibrato)
I am positive a good technician can clean up the inside and get rid of the popping without much effort or cost, as it worked perfectly before being placed in storage.
A good technician can also easily revert it back to the factory "silverface" specs and restore the "Master Volume" if you prefer. I do not have the time, space, or ability to have it done myself.

Please note the pictures to see the overall condition of the amp.
I tried to take a picture of every imperfection of the original tolex.

Feel free to ask me any question you may have.
Serious offers only.
Local Pickup Only

Overview Crystalline, versatile, and packed to the gills with punch, the vintage Fender Twin Reverb Silverface Combo is an affordable, occasionally overlooked gem in the company's vintage roster. The loudest of the company's original line of amps, this model was designed from the ground up with hefty 6L6 tubes to fill out even the biggest stages. The Twin's dual Normal/Vibrato channel design is outfitted with three-band EQs and Bright switches for compensation at higher volumes on each side and controls for speed/intensity/reverb for lush tone on tap. Stacked with headroom, this leviathan can handle the nastiest dirtboxes with the Master volume knob (unique to the Silverface) barely past noon.
