Maccaferri Islander Ukulele 1949 ~ Early 50’s Production
Islander uke was in production between 1949 and 1969. They’ve changed the head stock design 8 - 9  times. This one was made before patented and doesn't have Designed by Maccafferi imprinted. The one without Designed By Maccaferri imprinted are from very early production.
Excellent condition : Nice “shinny" swirl marble back and sides No cracks, chip off, deep scratches, separations, dents, warps, repairs, modifications. White or darker spot on the back is light reflection, not blemish. > 2 tiny discolorations spots at edge > See pic 9 (at 4 & 7 O'clock)  > Pegs works just fine but screws on peg button are rusted - movable).
Feather light weight at 11 oz, not like modern production plastic ukes. The neck is straight and good playing action.
A new set of Fremont clear strings will be included. Clear tone - sound loud. Ready to be played.
