Up for sale here at The Guitar Dude we have this super sleek and stealth Music Man Silhouette electric. Introduced in 1986, the Silhouette has the distinction of being Ernie Ball Music Man's first production guitar! The body is dramatic in styling, compact in size, and made from premium quality alder this is beveled and contoured for balance, feel and comfort. The combination of two DiMarzio virtual PAF humbuckers and a custom wound DiMarzio single coil pickup yields a variety of tones from old school vintage to modern, cutting edge. The Silhouette's maple neck is outfitted with 24 medium jumbo frets to provide a full two-octave range. The smooth action Music Man vintage style tremolo bridge and the Deluxe Schaller locking tuners deliver precise tremolo action with perfect tuning stability. With it's comfortable, high performance capabilities the Silhouette has remained one of Music Man's top sellers for decades. This player is a super kick ass shred machine that has all the feel and playability you'd expect from Ernie Ball, with a perfect balance and sweet playability she's ready to rock and roll all night. Cosmetically, she's in good shape overall with only minimal playwear, slight handling marks and a custom "Punk Rock" declaration someone carved into the back with a pen knife. She's a raging beauty, a sure fire winner and The Dude's pick of the week for a serious player with attitude. She's hot-n- ready for anything, today, at The Guitar Dude.
It has just been professionally set up and dialed in for optimal playability and tone. It has low action with no buzzing or dead spots and is an absolute joy to play. It has been deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been leveled / dressed / polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor - a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It was professionally set up and has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is spot on and it plays excellent. All the electronics work flawlessly.
