But it’s brought out to stunning effect by the contrast with the cream-coloured pickguard. And everything we’ve said about the quality of the look also applies to its sound. Each of the two classic open humbucker pickups has its own volume and tone control. Combined with the three-way switch, that’s a versatile set-up for crafting your own signature sound. Like the legendary model that inspired it, this guitar has a set-in maple neck while the basswood body sports an arched top. Speaking of the neck: instead of simple dots, this neck - which has a 628 mm scale length - has large crown inlays to help you find your way around. That’s not only practical but also visually authentic. The chrome hardware - from the tuners to the strap button - is yet another expression of the high standards at the core of an instrument we designed not only for newbies but also more practiced players.
