LA500A Opto compressor is an API500 & 51X series format unit. This unit is a full ground-up redesign of the original LA3A/LA2A type compressor. JML has painstakingly captured all the characteristics of the original compression signature and the amazing warmth that the original units are known for. JML has created a modern workflow with many added features.

 JML has added two extra compression ratios, 5:1 to 10:1, and a side chain HPF switching between FLAT, 100Hz & 200Hz. The new side chain is to allow the low end to be either fully compressed or removed from the detection circuit to allow the low end more dynamic range. this unit is amazing!

• 51X and 500 compatible with 51X pins cut off. LA500 fits all 500 and 51X racks and lunchboxes.

• Hard relay bypass when comp power off or switched to LA OFF.
• Meter switchable Gain Reduction / LA OFF (meter led off) / VU by toggle switch
• Electronically balanced input to handle extreme input levels without distortion.
• Large 32mm chicken head input level control for easy setting of compression level.
• Large 32mm Makeup level pot with 0 to 20dB of gain.

All purchased units must be returned in their original condition and packaging (unless destroyed by courier).

After 3 days a 15% restocking fee will be charged on "approved" returns. (Message for Request)

Misuse of the unit will be evident in the type of damage and will be investigated before returns are approved.
