This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of American Rock’n’Roll History. This guitar belonged to American Guitar Legend Ed King from Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Ed King is credited as the composer of one the most famous and recognizable guitar riff in Rock’n’Roll history. Sweet Home Alabama has been written by King while jamming at the Hell House along with his co members, Allen Collins, Gary Rossington and Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Ed passed on August 22, 2018 after a few months battling cancer. 12 days before his passing, he produced a serie of hand signed letters with pictures for each of his most famous and most valuable instruments to be used as Certificate of Authenticity. This guitar is 1 of 5 Gibson Les Pauls Ed left behind with documentation.

One of them was a 1959 Gibson Les Paul nicknamed “Red Eye” which sold for $650,000 to famous guitar player Jason Isbell. A second one was a Gibson Les Paul 1960 that sold for $350,000. Ed’s 1973 Fender Stratocaster sold for $450,000.

Following a gun point robbery in which Ed’s favourite “Red Eye” guitar was stolen, he decided to acquire 3 Gibson Les Paul Conversions that he would take on tour. The guitar offered here for sale is #3 purchased from Jam City Guitars.

Not convince yet? Look at the fantastic, unique and unmistakable wood grain from the guitar top and feel free to compare it to the picture taken by Ed King himself shortly before his passing which also comes with the hand signed letter.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to own a piece of music history.

The guitar will be ship or hand delivered anywhere in North America. It will be at the buyer’s discretion once payment has been received and cleared. Ed got one of his Les Paul taken from him at gun point, no need to rewrite history and have a second one of his guitar stolen. 😉
