One of the best and most sought-after instruments to be produced by Ovation in New Hartford, USA. Mine is number 380 of an extremely limited run.
Kept and played it in a non-smoking, dust-free environment - mainly studio use with only rare gigs. It has the lightest of dings on the top of the headstock, difficult to photograph. Amazing sound, brilliant playability, impeccable condition. Same about the deluxe case it's coming with - complete with key and, fun fact, leather handle, as opposed to the new ones with plastic.
Aficionados will know all about the 2007 Collectors', it's one of the most respected Ovations - and one I have regularly mic'd, due to its rich, deep, balanced sound, with exceptionally warm and round bass. Here are some specs, for the record:
- AAA Bearclaw spruce (photos do not do it justice) with single inlaid spalted maple epaulet
- scalloped bracing
- VIP-5 preamp with jack and XLR outputs, OCP-1 pickup
- deep contour body (probably the best invention with Ovations, much more easy to hold than the conventional bowl)
- 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, 2-way truss rod
- fingerboard: inlaid flamed maple, special 12th Fret Inlay
- Graphtech nut, 1-11/16", ebony bridge
- Ovation deluxe hardshell case
This is an extremely rare guitar and equivalent to luthier-grade instruments (I should know, I own and play several). I would only consider upselling it for an Adamas '08, 2087GT or 40th Anniversary.
