Dave's Guitars Charlotte is proud to offer our first vintage ES-335-12 in classic Cherry finish—a color characteristic of 335s and in my opinion the most desirable.
David Byrne meets Eric Clapton. What else can I say? Extremely comfortable neck profile when compared with many 12-string electrics I've owned; in fact, it is so comfortable, it could be converted to a 6-string 335 and you'd have a hybrid guitar at a fraction of the price of a standard model.
This guitar appears to be in all-original condition save for its tuners & pickups, but I've gone ahead and included a set of period-correct Kluson tuners complete with bushings and screws. As for the pickups, at first I figured they had simply changed the "Patent No" sticker to a "PAF" sticker, but upon closer inspection and after removal of pickup covers, I'm 99% certain they're Classic 57s. They sound great and my new—lowered—price reflects.
As for its color, picture #1 does the guitar more justice than the other photos. Lighting was decently harsh when photographs were done, and it appears almost orange in direct light. Please message me for more pictures if needed.
This is an insanely cool piece for any Gibson collector, and it's one of those "boy, I'm not sure that I should've sold that one" guitars here in our shop. These have become increasingly rare as the years go on, and it's safe to say Gibson ain't making anymore of 'em!
Comes with a replacement Gator-branded hardshell case in great shape. It will protect your baby!
Being picky, its cosmetic condition is 7/10–yes, there are are scratches, dings, and signs of usage over the past several decades. This is a used guitar.
