Jackson Japan DX-10 DX10D Dinky Electric Guitar -Ultra Thin Neck! Inferno Red

Welcome to Musicdungeon. This is the Jackson DX10D Dinky Guitar. 25.5" scale length. 43mm nut width. 8 lbs. Jackson guitars have been a mainstay for rock guitarists ever since Randy Rhoads appeared with the first one in the early 80's. Jackson Japan is special because it stays true to the Jackson origins- hight output pickups and incredibly thin necks- this DX is from Japan! The basswood body here enables an even tone response, while the light-weight brings excellent natural resonance. You still get mid range push, but with a full-bodied sound. Dual Duncan Designed humbuckers grab that tone and their own character. Duncans are known for their low end mids and these pickups definitely deliver. The HB103's were patterned after the Duncan Distortion pickup- ceramic magnets and high output. This gives you enough drive to push the front end of your amp, with the cermaic magnets adding articulation to the low mids. The bridge pickup uses that to create searing leadwork and chunky rhythms. In the neck position, the result is big thick sustain for sweeps and fast picked passages, but plenty of note clarity. A 3 position lever and volume and tone controls allow you to dial in your tone in seconds. The neck here, as I said, is insanely thin- .74" deep at the 5th fret with a flat C profile. Add to that the 12-16" fretboard radius and you have a true player- easy chording and effortless bends. The double locking Jackson Floyd Lic tremolo allows you to dive and pull- always coming back in tune. The look here is great- Inferno Red finish, shark fin inlays, reverse headstock, and chrome hardware. This DX is in exceptional condition- one small mark on the side(pic)- otherwise, nothing to report. The frets are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret.
