This vintage tube radio/HiFi console has been cleaned inside and out. The dial lamps were replaced with LEDs. All electrolytic and paper capacitors have been replaced. The failure prone selenium rectifier was replaced with a moder silicon version. It has three speakers, including a 7x12 woofer.
FM and AM both work great. It also has shortwave, but I did not have an antenna to test. I restrung the dial pulleys and lubricated the moving parts with sewing machine oil.
The turntable is an old mono unit. I did not work on it because mono needles dig grooves in newer stereo records. I have been listening with a Bluetooth adapter plugged in to the turntable pickup. I will include a brand new Bluetooth adapter in the sale.
The wood is in very good condition for the age. There are a couple of chips near the bottom. I replaced the worn foot pads with new plastic pads. The grill cloth is in great shape too. I replaced the cloth covering the vents on the back. This is a nice compact console in great shape. Some stereo consoles are huge. See photos.
