Viper models in ESP catalog are based on the legendary SG design launched by Gibson back in the early 1960s. It became an instant classic and one of the first guitars ever to be associated to heavy music. Angus Young and Tony Iommi were the most prominent SG players in the late 1960s and early 1970s. ESP`s take on the SG series is named Viper and it`s models feature the most extreme attitude and tone of all SG-shaped models out there. Viper 50 is the opening model of the LTD side of the Viper series. Solid basswood body is paired with a standard bolted maple neck. Pickups combo is made up of one ESP LH-150 humbucker in neck position and one Duncan Designed HB-108 DETONATOR in bridge position. Maple neck is topped with a regular 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Some scratches and repaired dinks and dents (see final photos of listing).
