Overview

The Fender Mandolin, informally known as the Mandocaster, debuted in 1956 with the idea of taking the same acoustic-to-electric innovations Leo Fender had pioneered with the bass and guitar to mandolin. The model never fully took off, partly due to a lack of four true courses of double strings. It had only four single strings.

This model was available in blond until 1958.

Years of Production: 1956 - 1976
