This guitar was built in 1973, when I was just 16, and already back then it was a bargain. Thanks to their success, today, these guitars are an even bigger bargain, given that you can get a well-made, aged classical for under $200, and it would probably be a lot more if there weren't so many of them and similar Yamaha models on the market. Thin, two-ply laminate sides and back (spruce top, maple sides and back.) Serious bass tone and sustain. Bridge saddle upgraded to bone - a small but noticeable improvement on these vintage instruments. Nato neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Included, at no additional cost, the usual collection of dings and dents one would expect for a guitar that will celebrate its fiftieth birthday two years from now.
