If you've never heard of the 'Segovia' brand of guitars, you're in good company.
There's not a lot of info on these guitars online, but it's highly likely that this one was made in Japan in the 70's. It has a solid spruce top and laminated rosewood sides, with a 3-piece laminated rosewood back. The fingerboard looks like Brazilian rosewood, but it's more likely that it was a laminate portrayal of Brazilian rosewood, given the price point of this guitar.
This guitar has a slightly wider nut width of 1.92", making it potentially more comfortable for you if you have bigger hands. It has a low profile neck shape, nice and even throughout the neck. It has a 25" scale length and it weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces. The tuners appear to be the original open-gear tuners. This guitar comes with a hard case, which is in good condition.
If you're into vibey, obscure vintage acoustic guitars, you need to check this one out. Despite having laminate back and sides, the bass response is surprisingly good. It's no Martin of course, but it has an even tone that's really nice, especially at this price point.
This guitar is in good condition. There are dents and scratches on the body at various points (pictured), and it appears to have been given a neck reset at one point. Whoever did it did a good job though, because the neck is straight and the action is very comfortable.
This is a super cool guitar that you don't see out in the wild too often, so don't miss out! This guitar could be your secret weapon. Thanks for looking!
