This listing is for a mint condition 2006 McAlister "Lucas" model guitar. I am selling it for my father who had it as part of his personal guitar collection. He had it custom built and it has been played very little since he got it. It has been kept in it's case in a smoke-free, humidity controlled environment, and never been gigged. In fact, it has only been played on one occasion outside of his home at a small recording session back in 2008. It is all original with no modifications and comes in it's original hardshell case.

This guitar is absolutely stunningly beautiful in looks and sound. It also plays like a dream. Simply put, Roy McAlister builds some of the finest boutique instruments on the market!
The guitar has 200 year old quilted mahogany back and sides and 100 year old Adirondack spruce top!
This description of the "Lucas" model  is from McAlister's website: "McAlister Guitars takes its inspiration for this guitar from the instruments played by Nick Lucas in the 20's and 30's. The original theory of a small, deep bodied guitar was a notablet concept that would prove to be both effective and appealing to guitarists. Combining these elements with McAlister Guitars own bracing and voicing techniques, the Lucas model has evolved from a great guitar into an exceptional guitar. A guitar which possesses the balance, the clarity and especially, the volume you demand."

I have tried to start this listing at a fair price and I am accepting offers. If you look at the screen shot  I included in the photo gallery on build pricing from McAlister's website you will see that his guitars start at $9,000.00 before any upgrades. This guitar has significant wood upgrades and would cost well beyond that number if you were to have it built.
This guitar is being sold "as-is" and is not returnable. Buyer pays flat shipping rate of $125.00. Will be fully insured through Reverb/UPS.
I am selling this guitar as a favor to my father. It is a personal/private sale and not affiliated through my guitar shop, otherwise, I would have posted it from that page.
Thanks for looking!
