The price for this fully assembled unit is the manufacturers price for the DIY kit (without VAT). So actually, I built it for you.

It is in very good condition and full working order. I built several mic preamps and other projects before I encountered this one. It was not too demanding - just many, many solder joints on a big PCB and some steps that require a steady hand and a little caution.

If you want a top notch monitor controller but can't afford Grace Design, Dangerous Music or Crookwood units this might be yours.

The MC624's real strength is that it has the neccessary quality in design and parts/material to distribute the signal it gets in a very pure and transparent way. And the look is a very classic somehow utilitarian console one. The haptics are very good and reassuring that the switches, the encoder and the potentiometer will last some decades of use.

The power supply is a two step design starting off with a quality switch mode PSU and a sophisticated internal regulator and filter device. That's - in general - the way RME does it with the ADI-2 Pro series for example.

Key features are:

- Fully differential signal path throughout - so no capacitors.
- Main volume control via a digitally triggered relays switching through a resistor network.
- Therefore absolute even level-matching between channels at any volume
- Input and output select also via relays
- Excellent specs and real world performance
- Max. Input Levels: +26dBu
- Max Output Levels: +26dBu
- Very good phones amp (controlled with high quality potentiometer)
- 6 stereo sources (INs)
- 4 stereo outputs OR 3 stereo outputs + sub-out
- Control for Dim, Mute, Mute left/Mute right, Mono, left-right difference
- controllable via IR remote (universal type remote)

You'll get the unit itself, the PSU and a EU power cable when it is of use for you.
