The Cort AS-M5 is a professional grade guitar without the professional grade price.  That is part of the Cort magic, when they make guitars for their own brand they put extra features in that you normally don't get at that price point.  The AS-M5 is a perfect example.

The AS-M5 features the pro-level Fishman Ellipse Blender system. It blends together the sound from the under saddle pickup with the pure acoustic tone from the condenser mic mounted inside the guitars body.

All solid construction with selected materials
Its premium solid sitka spruce top delivers great tone that will actually improve further with age. This premium acoustic series also features carefully scalloped bracing for a bigger tone and a classic bang. The sides and back are also solid rosewood, making this a pro-level acoustic.  The mahogany neck has maple binding and a rosewood fretboard.  The nut and saddle are real bone.

Playing this guitar is a real joy.  The neck is slender and easy to play all the way up to the upper frets, and the sound produced by the solid wood body is outstanding.  The Fishman Ellipse Matrix system is one of the best in the business at reproducing an accurate acoustic sound when the need for amplification arises.

This guitar was sent as an overstock item.  It had no issues, and the only thing done was a professional setup.

A hardshell case is included with the guitar to protect this high end instrument.

Why buy a refurbished guitar?

I specialize in manufacturer refurbished guitars and basses because I believe they are a tremendous value.  These instruments have actually passed more quality tests than those that go straight from the manufacturer to a music store.  These instruments do not have major flaws, they have had a minor issue such as a slight finish blemish or perhaps an electrical issue such as a loose solder joint.  I buy my guitars and basses from the largest, and in my opinion the best, refurbishing center in the country located near Nashville.  They are staffed with factory trained luthiers who take great pride in the products they put up for sale.  Each instrument must pass 5 tests before it is released for sale.  Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all.  Each instrument is stamped used and issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent unethical retailers from selling these instruments as new rather than refurbished, because a refurbished instrument does not carry the manufacturer warranty.  I live close enough to Nashville that I travel to the factory and pick out my guitars myself.  I play each one prior to listing it for sale.  You can be assured if I would not be proud to give it as a gift, I will not take it.
