Martin Style A mandolin, from 1921-2 (serial number 9279). Flat “bent” top and flat back. Solid spruce top, solid Honduran Mahogany back and sides. Mahogany neck. Brazilian Rosewood 22 fret fingerboard with white dot inlays. Brazilian Rosewood bridge and peghead overlay. Tortoise plastic bound back, and tortoise/white/black bound top. Features 13” scale, 1 3/16” (original) ebony nut. The original tuning gears are 100% complete and work great. The Tailpiece cover is missing.

Excellent action and playability. Neck is straight, frets show only the faintest wear. No cracks or repairs anywhere. Top has some pick wear around the soundhole, which is very minor. Minor wear on the body for a 101-year old mandolin. Very light finish crazing. 100% original,
