1984 Ibanez Artist AM 205 Semi Hollow Electric Guitar

For sale is a 1984 Ibanez Artist AM 205 AV. The AM series are smaller body semi hollow guitars, similar in size to the solid body Artists (slightly larger than a Les Paul). Burl Mahogany body with Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard with 3 piece MOP/Abalone block inlays. Two Super 58 pickups, 2V 2T & 3 way switch. The guitar is all original except for the nut and upper strap pin. A non-original hard case is included.

This is no closet-queen. If you're looking for a new guitar in mint condition, please look elsewhere...

The guitar has no structural issues or repairs but does show wear and cosmetic flaws consistent with its age. There are various nicks and scratches here and there along with some buckle scratches on the back. There is one small section of the binding on the back where the finish is starting to flake off. It is very minor. The binding is intact. There is also a finish crack at the neck join (very common in these guitars). The neck is solid. Everything of consequence should be visible in the photos. Evidently the previous owner did not believe in using a guitar stand as there are dents on the back of the neck where it was leaned repeated against something (amp?). No issues with the fingerboard or frets.

A full setup has been done on the guitar. It is currently set up with 10s. The frets have also been leveled, crowned and polished. This is ready to go.
